Welcome!

SET Ministry is a special place.  Often, I think of it as a virtual community where diverse people come together to work to make Milwaukee a better place to live.  With 16 offices and five additional sites, SET delivers social services to more than 5,000 adults, children and families each year, citywide.  Most essentially, SET guides people to serve their own basic needs for food, healthcare, stable housing, financial security and more.  Only after these needs are met substantially can SET begin to empower people to address their longing to belong to society and access the American dream. This, in turn, is what can lead to learning, discovery and transformation.

SET bears witness, every day, to the experiences of being human and living in poverty in Milwaukee.  The SET community and its members are committed to reversing the effects of poverty locally; this transformation is supported by the dedication and courage of many citizens.  Recently, SET honored 25 individuals and organizations for the special brand of courage and commitment they have demonstrated in doing this important work.  Many thousands of families and individuals have been impacted positively, including those of donors, associates and volunteers.

At SET, we know that transformation requires the kind of care that is freely given from the heart of the one citizen to another.  Thank you for the care you have shown for SET Ministry.
